Liverpool ready to 'shell out' up to £38 million in 'bold move' for midfielder this summer
Liverpool have been linked to a number of exciting targets this month but very few of them look likely to make the move at this halfway point. Instead, it looks like the Reds are due to get stuck into a busy summer once they've played out their promising looking 2023/24 season.
A whole range of players have appeared on the summer radar as Jurgen Klopp could need to recruit in every area of the his team. With Caoimhín Kelleher looking to move on, a barrage of injuries to the backline, the fear of Mohamed Salah leaving, and the boss still considering new midfielders, the Reds could need pretty much everything.

A report from TuttoAtalanta.com has linked a fresh name to an Anfield move as the Reds look for more engine room firepower. According to the Italian outlet, Liverpool are preparing to make a 'bold move' for to bring Teun Koopmeiners to Merseyside, which will involve a 'substantial offer' for his services. In fact, the Reds are 'ready to shell out' as much as €45 million (£38m) to prise Koopmeiners away from Atalanta.
It is unlikely that the 25-year-old will leave the club this month, suggesting a summer move could be on the cards instead. Koopmeiners is a defensive midfielder by trade, which is what Liverpool are searching for, for he can play centrally and in a more attacking role as well.
So far this season, the Netherlands international has contributed seven goals and four assists across all competitions.

Five midfielders left Anfield and four exciting new signings arrived in their place, but the club are still looking for an extra addition to cap off their restructure.
