New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Liverpool’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Light of Bengal, at 286 - 288 Aigburth Road, Liverpool was handed a two-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 14.

And UKIYO, at 9 Broad Green Road, Liverpool was given a score of one on June 14.

It means that of Liverpool's 546 takeaways with ratings, 224 (41%) have ratings of five and just seven have zero ratings.
