New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of St Helens’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Newton Grill, at 249 Wargrave Road, Newton Le Willows was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on December 6.

And Fortune House, at 103 Higher Parr Street, St Helens was given a score of one on December 6.

It means that of St Helens's 178 takeaways with ratings, 54 (30%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
