A Wirral drinking establishment has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Shrewsbury Arms, a pub, bar or nightclub at 36-38 Claughton Firs, Oxton, Wirral was given the score after assessment on March 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Wirral's 227 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 147 (65%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
