Dogs Trust Merseyside are looking for families who can make their dogs’ Christmas wishes come true.
The wonderful dogs in their care have experienced their fair share of bad luck and want nothing more than a loving family and forever home.
Due to the cost of living crisis, Dogs Trust has reported that more and more pups are being given to their rescue centre, as owners can no longer afford to care for them.
So, instead of buying a dog this Christmas, why not consider adopting or fostering a canine companion?

5. Meg
Nine year old Meg has had the luxury of staying with some foster carers while she has been with Dogs Trust and she has really excelled herself. Her foster carers have described her as a loveable, friendly dog who just wants to give you kisses and receive tummy rubs. She is best suited to a home with children over 12.
6. Coda
Coda is a gentle four year old Frenchie who has had a tough year and would love to find stability with a new family that will go easy with him, as he has sore skin. He doesn’t enjoy spending time by himself as he’s a real lap dog who likes to get on to your knee and seeks affection.
7. Jack
Handsome Jack is five years old but his frosty face makes him look quite the distinguished gentleman! He is a very calm and friendly boy but he does have the odd burst of activity. He will walk with the odd Greyhound but doesn't want to share his space.
8. Henry
Henry is a Dogue De Bordeaux cross and he needs an adult only home. He is only young and Dogs Trust cannot guarantee that he is house trained. He needs to work on loose lead walking and car travel, and his new family must be prepared to work with him.
