Freshfields Animal Rescue: 13 adorable pets looking for new homes in Merseyside - dogs, cats and rabbits
These amazing animals are desperate to bring joy to a new family this Spring.
Looking for a new pet to join your family but believe in the ‘adopt not shop’ mantra? We’ve got you covered with these wonderful rescue animals.
Freshfields Animal Rescue are hoping to find permanent homes for many adorable animals in Liverpool and Merseyside, this Spring.
Freshfields began almost 50 years ago and is committed to looking after animals whether they be small pets, farm animals or sick wildlife. With a policy of never putting a healthy animal down, they are looking for lovely people to adopt them and provide a forever home.
Many of these animals have had difficult lives and would love the chance to settle down for good. Could you make their wishes come true and make them part of your family?

1. Barney
Barney is a ten-year-old crossbreed who sadly got sent to the rescue centre due a change in his previous owner’s circumstances. Due to Barney’s anxious nature he will need an experienced owner who is familiar with nervous behaviour. He cannot live with young children and cannot be around visiting children either. He cannot live with other animals and would benefit from a quiet home with minimal visitors allowing him to settle and feel comfortable. Photo: Freshfields Animal Rescue

2. Sora
Sora is a two-year-old short hair cat with a bit of a traumatic past. She would love a new family in a calm environment.

3. Blossom
Blossom went to the centre with her adopted sister Dandelion as they had begun to fight in the home as their hormones developed. Even though Dandelion was then neutered they still continued to fight & so the owners decided they could no longer look after them. Blossom is a little more timid than her sister but with the perfect home will come out of her shell. Photo: Freshfields Animal Rescue

4. Ruby and Dotty
Ruby is looking for a home with her daughter, Dotty. The pair of French Bulldogs are aged 11 and 3 and need a home with people who are around a lot of the time. Freshfields are looking for fosterers first, to assess their needs, and then potentially permanent owners. Photo: Freshfields Animal Rescue
