Merseyside weather forecast: overcast and dry but temperatures will plummet

It’s looking cloudy, dry and chilly on Tuesday but there could be rain as we head further into the week.

As we start the week we can see it really cooling down across the North West, with temperatures dropping down into single figures.

There's a chance of rain across the region, apart from in St Helens where it looks overcast but dry.

As we move towards the middle of the week, we're likely to see some patchy showers with a 76% chance of rain in Southport. Temperatures are expected to sit around 8°C or 9°C.

And looking at the five day forecast now, there's a chance it could be a drizzly week for the region.

Looking partly cloudy towards the end of the week with some moderate downpours.

It is getting a lot cooler this week, temperatures starting off at 9°C before dropping down to 6°C by the weekend.
