Earlier this year, Liverpool was stripped of its Unesco World Heritage status. Despite this, the city remains full of culturally rich experiences to be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike.
So we've been on the streets of the city to ask you, what do you love most about living in Liverpool?
"The atmosphere in general"
Student Alisha says: "The atmosphere in general, whether it be the night or the day, it's just the liveliness of the city. I come from a small town, so it's a huge difference for me."
“Liverpool is very cosmopolitan”
Jean, from Woolton, says: "I like coming into town because it's a nice atmosphere. People come from all over the world to visit Liverpool, so it's very cosmopolitan. I love going to the tapas bar. I love coming down for a meal."
"You've got pubs like The Philharmonic - I love it"
Philip, who's from Australia but has been spending extended periods in the city since the 1960s, said: "You've got pubs like The Philharmonic - I love it. You don't get pubs like that in Australia, it's got real character."
