💉 Parents in Liverpool are being asked the check if their children are up to date with their polio vaccinations. This comes after the poliovirus was detected in London sewage and a vaccine booster programme is being urgently rolled out in the area. The latest figures show the number of babies receiving the 6-in1 vaccine in Liverpool has fallen to 88% - much lower than the national average of 92%.

🚨 Officers have arrested a 33-year-old man from Fairfield after a dog attacked a four-year-old boy in Norris Green on Saturday night. The child remains in hospital receiving treatment. He is in a serious but stable condition. The 31-year-old woman previously arrested has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
