Liverpool’s city centre is constantly changing, with new stores opening in Liverpool ONE and many much-loved shops permanently closing their doors.
Despite some popular stores closing many years ago, they bring back fond memories for a lot of us - from Christmas shopping in Lewis’s to picking out a film at Blockbuster.

9. Currys PC World
Currys PC World closed its Church Street store in 2019, however, branches at Aintree Shopping Park and at New Mersey Retail Park are still open.
10. Clas Ohlson
Clas Ohlson closed its doors in 2019, after the company announced high street stores in the UK were too expensive to run. The company now focus on online sales and the unit is occupied by B&M.
11. Monsoon/Accessorize
Monsoon/Accessorize closed a number of stores across the UK, including Liverpool ONE as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.
12. LIV Organic
LIV Organic was a wholefood market and cafe, offering fresh vegan goods, skincare and it even had a wholefood pick and mix. The store closed suddenly after being on Bold Street for almost three years, when it was repossessed. It is now home to Albert’s Schloss.
