📰 Proposals to place a statue of the Beatles’ famous manager Brian Epstein has received planning permission.
Liverpool City Council has signed off on proposals to site a sculpture of the so-called “Fifth Beatle” adjacent to Whitechapel, east of the former Black’s store, in the city centre.

Hide AdThe development now has a three year period to be completed after the planning authority gave it the green light last week.
The statue will be sculpted by designer Andy Edwards following a project to raise £100,000 to fund the commemorative piece.
📰 A new exhibition showcasing contemporary Jamaican art will open at the University of Liverpool’s Victoria Gallery & Museum on Saturday, 19 February.
The `Jamaica Making: The Theresa Roberts Art Collection’ exhibition will feature more than thirty artworks from the extensive private collection of the Jamaican-born entrepreneur and philanthropist.

Hide Ad📰 The Life Rooms has teamed up with Liverpool’s Public Health team to launch a new initiative to support individuals and communities with their health and wellbeing.
The 12-month pilot will have a presence in local libraries, one stop shops and children’s centres across the city.
The Life Rooms will visit the following locations between 9.30am and 3.30pm each week:
- Garston Library: Monday and Tuesday
- Kensington Library: Wednesday and Thursday
- Kirkdale One Stop Shop: Monday and Tuesday
- Liverpool Central Library: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Norris Green Library: Wednesday and Friday
- Parklands Library: Friday
- Toxteth Library: Monday and Friday
- Wavertree Children’s Centre: Monday and Thursday
- Tuebrook Children’s Centre: Monday and Thursday
- County Children’s Centre: Tuesday
- Kensington Children’s Centre: Wednesday and Friday.
