Dog attack outside Merseyside McDonald’s leaves delivery driver with ‘puncture wounds’

A delivery driver has been treated in hospital after he was bitten by a dog outside McDonald’s in Knowsley.
Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a woman they believe may have information after the incident in Page Moss on Sunday.

Hide AdAt around 7pm officers were called to a report of a dangerous dog on Liverpool Road.
It was reported that a woman was standing outside McDonald’s when a dog with her bit a delivery driver as he was walking past.
Police said the man sustained two puncture wounds to his lower leg and had to attend hospital for treatment.
The woman quickly left the scene after the incident, according to Merseyside Police.

Hide AdDetective Inspector Lisa Milligan said: “This was an unprovoked incident that has left a man with two significant wounds to his right leg.
“Our officers are working hard to find the owner and the dog involved.
“If you recognise the woman pictured then please let us know, as we believe she may hold information vital to our ongoing investigation.
“We would also appeal to anyone who was near McDonald’s on Liverpool Road on Sunday 30 January at 7pm who saw the incident or anything suspicious to contact us as they may have information which is vital to our investigation."
