Dogs Trust are hoping to find forever homes for the adorable animals in their care and get their 2023 rehoming campaign off to a great start.
Due to the cost of living crisis, many owners are taking their pets to rescue centres, as they can no longer afford to care for them. Dogs Trust says every week, around 1,000 people are making the call to give up their dog.
There are a range of puppies and dogs, at Dogs Trust Merseyside hoping to make your family complete - including a Pomeranian, Chow Chow and American Bulldog.

5. Berry
Berry is a Chow Chow and she can live with other dogs and children aged 8 or over. She is house trained and can be left alone for a few hours once settled.
6. Sandy
Sandy is a Lhasa Apso and is looking for a quiet home for his twilight years and will happily live with another steady dog. He is house trained and OK by himself for a couple of hours, and can live with children of high school age. He may be able to live with cats as he’s a small and gentle lad.
7. Sugar
Sugar is looking for a home together with her Mum, Lady. She is house trained but can have a little accident if she feels nervous. These girls need to be the only pets in the home, and will need to be separated for eating. Children of high school age should be fine.
8. Wren
Wren is such a tiny dinky little Collie and couldn’t be more appropriately named! He does find the world to be rather a scary place and would like a home away from any busy roads. He is looking for a pet free, adult home, preferably with a female household
