5. Stephen Graham
Stephen Graham is an English actor best known for playing Andrew “Combo” Gascoigne in the film ‘This Is England’ and its television sequels. He has also starred in films including Snatch, Gangs of New York, Public Enemies, The Irishman, and Pirates of the Caribbean films ‘On Stranger Tides’ and ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’. Graham was born in Kirkby and attended Overdale Primary School in Kirkby, where he was encouraged to pursue an acting career aged eight. He then continued his education at Ruffwood Comprehensive School.
6. John Lennon
John Winston Ono Lennon MBE was an English singer, songwriter, musician and peace activist who achieved worldwide fame as a member of the Beatles. He was born in Liverpool, and throughout the rest of his childhood and adolescence, Lennon lived at Mendips, 251 Menlove Avenue in Woolton. Lennon was raised as an Anglican and attended Dovedale Primary School. He also attended Quarry Bank High School in Liverpool, where he formed the Quarrymen - later becoming the Beatles.
7. Paul McCartney
Sir Paul McCartney is an English singer, songwriter and musician who gained worldwide fame as co-lead vocalist, co-songwriter and bassist for the Beatles. McCartney was born in Liverpool and attended Stockton Wood Road Primary School in Speke from 1947 until 1949 when he transferred to Joseph Williams Junior School in Belle Vale because of overcrowding at Stockton. He met schoolmate George Harrison on the bus in Speke.

George Harrison MBE was an English musician and singer-songwriter best known for being the lead guitarist of the Beatles. Harrison was born at 12 Arnold Grove in Wavertree, Liverpool, and the family later moved to 25 Upton Green in Speke. Harrison attended Dovedale Primary School and passed the eleven-plus exam to get into Liverpool Institute High School for Boys.
