Labour and their followers have gathered in Liverpool for the party’s first conference since being returned to government by voters in July’s general election.
They won with a landslide majority of 172 seats, and 412 in total, ending 14 years of Conservative rule.
Liverpool is a Labour stronghold but it hasn’t been a completely smooth ride in the city for Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his party.
The conference has seen a number of protests over the decision to withdraw the winter fuel allowance for some pensioners and there have also been pro-Palestine demonstrations in the city.
However, a number of celebrities were also in attendance, throwing their weight behind Labour as they lay out their ‘plan for change’ at ACC Liverpool.
