Hundreds of volunteer roles available at the World Gymnastics Championships Liverpool 2022
The people of Liverpool have been offered an opportunity to be part of the World Gymnastics Championships in the city later this year.
Up to 600 volunteer roles have been created to support the event which will take place at the M&S Bank Arena from 29 October to 6 November.

Hide AdThe championships will be one of the largest international sporting events ever to be held in the city with 550 gymnasts from 75 countries competing.
It will also be an Olympic qualifying event for Paris 2024.
Liverpool artist Paul Curtis, who created For All Liverpool’s Liver Birds in the Baltic Triangle, is an ambassador for the event alongside Olympians Beth Tweddle and Max Whitlock.
What are the volunteer roles?
There are a variety of roles on offer, including spectator services, digital and media, sport, hospitality and event operations.
The event’s organising committee is working closely with British Gymnastics and Liverpool City Council to recruit people to help with the event.

Hide AdHarry Doyle, Liverpool City Council’s cabinet member for culture and visitor economy, described the opportunity ‘hugely exciting’ for volunteers and a chance to experience the sporting event in a unique way.
He said: “Liverpool has a rich history of hosting major events, and as the excitement and anticipation around the World Championships grows, we are really excited to see how volunteers will help showcase the city in the best way possible.”
