A ‘loving mother’ who was murdered in Stoneycroft last Thursday died from head trauma, police have confirmed.

At around 16:55, emergency services were called to The Green to reports that Ms Adabzadeh, 47, an Iranian woman who lived in the Stoneycroft area, had been found in a house. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Home Office post mortem has confirmed the cause of her death as head trauma.

Two men, aged 21 and 46 who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been bailed with conditions. A third man, aged 57, who was arrested and received treatment in hospital, remains in custody for questioning by detectives.

An extensive investigation is being carried out by police who remain at the scene while forensic examinations continue.

Detectives have previously explained police were keeping an open mind as to the motive, but one of the lines of enquiry is that the motive may have been “for domestic or other cultural reasons”.
