5. Mark and Neil Radcliffe
Net worth of £440m. Mark Radcliffe set up his bathroom supplies outfit from a garden shed in Formby nearly 25 years ago. He floated Victorian Plumbing on the stock market in 2021. Radcliffe and his brother Neil now own 59.4 per cent of the Skelmersdale-based outfit. Their shares are worth £179.1m – up £40.2m over the past year. 6. John Hargreaves and family
Net worth of £400m .Last year Hargreaves lost control of Matalan, the fashion business he founded in 1985. The son of a Liverpool docker, Hargreaves founded and built up the budget clothing giant and once paid himself a £250m dividend from the group. 7. Phil and Tom Beahon
Net worth of £340m. Thomas and Philip Beahon started their clothing brand, Castore, in their parents’ Liverpool kitchen in 2016. They quickly moved on from making hoodies and t-shirts to the official kit used by national sports teams. Tom once played football for Tranmere Rovers while his cricketing brother Phil represented Lancashire. Castore now kits out England cricketers, Everton FC, top rugby clubs and the Oracle Red Bull Formula One team. 8. Alex Langsam
Net worth of £285m. The son of Jewish parents who fled the Holocaust, Langsam’s Britannia Hotels has won vast contracts to house asylum seekers. He owns Liverpool's Adelphi Hotel as well as Pontins holiday parks. The holiday park site has abruptly closed some of its sites, including the Southport location.
