We ask the people of Liverpool: Is it time for Prime Minister Boris Johnson to resign over partygate?

Boris Johnson has apologised after Sue Gray’s report criticised “failures of leadership and judgement” over lockdown-breaking parties held in Downing Street.

The Prime Minister had already apologised ahead of Monday’s preview of the report after attending an event at Downing Street in May 2020.

Since then, accusations of numerous other parties have emerged and Johnson has come under pressure from his own Tory MPs to resign.

So, we hit the streets of Liverpool to ask you if it is time that Johnson resigns.

‘I'm sure he knows it himself; he should go’

Robert says: "I think he's done everything that says he should go. I'm sure he knows it himself; he should go. I don't think anymore can be said."

‘I've lost a few good friends of mine’

Keith says: "I've lost a few good friends of mine. It's very, very hard to get to grips with what he's done and how he's done it. If he'd come clean before it all came out, fair enough but he didn't so it's time to go."

‘It's well overdue’

Margaret says: "It's well overdue. He should have gone along time ago. I think he's just so fake now and false. It's time for The Tory's to go in general."
