Much like the rest of the UK, conditions will become wetter at the start of next week with back-to-back days of rain on Tuesday, 28 September and Wednesday, 29 September.

Forecasts warn that there will be nine hours of showers over a 72 hour period, with peaks of 12.1mm of rain expected next Wednesday.

The storm will not arrive on Merseyside this week, but conditions will definitely get wetter and more miserable as the days go by.
