Towards the end of the week, it's looking like a wet picture across the region with moderate showers in Liverpool, St Helens and Southport. Temperatures sitting at around 8°C or 9°C.

It’s going to be windy though! The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for the region as Storm Arwen hits and we are expecting strong gusts that could reach up to 50mph late on Friday evening.

The warning remains in place for Saturday, but the wind will die down as the day goes on.

It's still a pretty damp picture over the weekend, apart from in St Helens, where it's looking dry but overcast.

Temperatures are getting slightly cooler, with highs of 7°C.

And looking at the five-day forecast now and it's a wet picture across the board.

However, as we move into next week, things are getting slightly warmer, climbing back into double figures.

So there could be some let-up in that wet weather at the end of the weekend.

However, by Tuesday, we're seeing light rains with temperatures reaching highs of 11°C.
