Merseyside weather forecast: a cloudy start with rain later in the day

The temperatures have dropped and it’s certainly feeling a lot like winter.

As we move towards the middle of the week, we're likely to see plenty of winter weather along with patchy rain across the region, with light drizzle over Southport.

Wednesday’s temperatures will sit around 9°C.

At the back end of the week, temperatures will continue to drop to 8°C and could reach 6°C. There's a 59% chance of rain in Birkenhead.

Looking at the five-day forecast, it is a wetter picture for the region compared to previous weeks.

As we move towards the weekend we're likely to see light rain with highs of 7°C.

It’s looking partly cloudy on Sunday with just a 13% chance of showers.

Temperatures are likely to drop off, expect it to be much chillier.
