The Toffees made safe passage into the third round of the Carabao Cup, with a 1-0 victory over EFL League One side Fleetwood Town through a 28th minute goal from Demerei Grey.

After a spectacular win against Manchester United, Brentford were unlucky to lose their last Premier League game against Fulham last weekend.
It took a 90th minute goal from Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic to beat Brentford 3-2 at Craven Cottage, in a game where Brentford twice came back from behind with goals from Ivan Toney and Christian Nørgaard.
