Everton plotting January loan move for Manchester United outcast


Everton will renew their interest in Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek once the January transfer window opens, according to ESPN's Rob Dawson.
The Dutchman joined the Premier League club in August of last year after impressing with Ajax, however he has struggled for game-time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Hide AdVan de Beek’s agent Guido Albers confirmed in September that talks had taken place with the Toffees over the summer, however Manchester United eventually blocked the move on the penultimate day of the window.


After a disastrous debut season in the Premier League, the midfielder’s situation hasn’t improved and he has now only played 15 minutes of football during the 2021/22 campaign.
Everton are now preparing to once again attempt to rescue van de Beek from his troubles at Old Trafford with a loan deal in January, with Rob Dawson claiming that a host of clubs are interested in the player.

While Donny van de Beek hasn't said publicly that he wants to leave, it is well known that he is unhappy with his play time under the current boss.

According to ESPN a number of Manchester United players – including van de Beek, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard – have expressed their anger at Solskjaer after the ex-Red Devils striker had promised them that he would rotate the squad more this season after ‘overplaying' his key players during the previous campaign.
The Dutchman feels he has been misled by his coach and, with it looking increasingly unlikely that Solskjaer will leave Old Trafford in the near future, van de Beek is reportedly keen to explore his options ahead of the transfer window.
The former Ajax man also made a telling statement by hiring a new agent earlier this month as he looks for a new adventure.

Van de Beek's unhappiness at Old Trafford has set a number of clubs’ on high alert as they look to add the talented midfielder to their ranks.

Hide AdFollowing Newcastle United’s takeover last month they have been constantly linked with a move for the Dutchman, however it is perhaps unlikely that he would be keen on a loan switch to a side that look set for a relegation battle.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also thought to be keen on signing van de Beek as they look to briefly end his miserable spell in England.
