Everton takeover: the huge amount that Dan Friedkin could invest into club as deal 'very close'


The Friedkin Group could invest up to £500 million in equity as they reportedly close in on an Everton takeover.
The American firm, headed by Dan Friedkin, have reportedly come back to the fray over the weekend. Friedkin pulled out of purchasing Blues majority owner Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1 per cent stake in July.

Hide AdJohn Textor, who is a co-owner of Premier League Crystal Palace, had been in negotiations to complete a transaction. Textor said he had a 90 per cent chance of buying Everton but first had to sell his stake in Palace.
However, Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers has posted on X (formerly Twitter) The Friedkin Group are now ‘very close’ to agreeing a deal after developments over the weekend and could inject between £400-500 million into the club.
The Friedkin Group have owned Italian club AS Roma since August 2020.
