Pickford made 31 top-flight for Sunderland before completing a £25 million switch to Goodison Park in the summer of 2017.

He's been first-choice throughout his Everton career, while he's also England's No.1.

Pickford kept five clean sheets at Euro 2020 as the Three Lions suffered penalty shootout heartbreak to Italy in the final.

Lampard has relished working with Pickford since taking over as Everton manager, though, and plans to continue moving forward together.

“I've loved working with Jordan,” said Lampard.

Anyone who holds that England No.1 shirt for as long as he has holds a huge burden.

“It's a pressurised position on a national level and he carries that brilliantly. As a player, a midfielder player myself, you're always within the team.

“The goalkeeper gets analysed individually and to the highest degree as an England keeper.

“In that sense, his career and how he's played has been great.

“He's been a pleasure, is low maintenance, works hard, makes saves and wants to win for the team.

“My plan is to keep moving forward with that. I'm enjoying working with him."

Pickford is under contract at Everton until the summer of 2024.
