Newcastle and Everton tussle for international pair with Frank Lampard favourite for Goodison job

It’s been a busy day at Everton, with Vítor Pereira and Frank Lampard swapping places as favourites for the vacant managerial post following some Everton fans tell new manager Vitor Pereira to get out before he’s even in">graffiti at Goodison Park and a series of protests.

Meanwhile, the Toffees have been named as a surprise outfit in the race to sign Thomas Muller from Bayern Munich. The 32-year-old Germany international’s contract expires at the end of the season.

But, as with every player Everton are linked with, nouveau riche Newcastle United are in the hunt too.

The same can be said for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Deli Alli, who has been told he can leave White Hart Lane to kick-start a seemingly stalled career.

It wasn’t too long ago he was helping England reach a World Cup semi-final.
