A former colleague of the former Everton manager David Moyes has revealed he is open to a Premier League return.
Having departed West Ham United at the end of last season, he has earned praise from afar given that Julen Lopategui has struggled with the Hammers, sitting 15th with just two wins from eight games.

Hide AdMoyes previously led them to their first ever European trophy and brought them back from relegation candidates to European winners in what has been arguably his best work since leaving Everton in 2013. And his former scout, Mick Brown, from his time at West Ham has opened up on his future, teasing a return to management with Crystal Palace’s manager Oliver Glasner currently under pressure.
The Eagles are winless and The Guardian have revealed his fate is set to be decided by the next three games before the international break. If he does depart, Moyes could be considered. “David should be in the game and he’d be an asset to any club,” he told Football Insider.
“With the situation Palace are in, near the bottom of the table, there’s always going to be pressure. Whether they sack Glasner or not is a different question, but Moyes is always going to be in line for that job after what he did at West Ham.
“From what I know, he’d certainly listen to an offer if it did arrive, and then it depends on how much he wants to get back into management – but I don’t think that’ll be an issue. He’s got connections down there too, so Palace are definitely an option for him. I know after he left West Ham he moved back up to around the Blackpool area, away from London.”

Hide AdHe also mentioned Everton which, at one time or another, has seen Sean Dyche come under huge pressure. Especially at the start of this season as they lost the first four games, with the losses against Aston Villa and Bournemouth both seeing them surrender 2-0 leads. Since then, they’ve recovered to find their feet and a victory at Ipswich Town was clear evidence of it, despite their injury issues.

Brown claims that Moyes would still be open to an Everton return. “But that doesn’t mean to say he wouldn’t be open to moving back down. He obviously still knows people in the area after his time there. I know he was keen on the Everton job if that had become available, but it looks, for now at least, like Sean Dyche is safe there.“
With the Friedkin Group set to take over the club, there is a growing feeling that there may be a new manager for a new era that will include a move to a new stadium as well. Moyes to Everton is unlikely to prevail but we could see him in the Premier League at another club in the future.
