Two clear frontrunners to become next Everton manager as Rafa Benitez’s future uncertain
Everton’s board have entered talks regarding the former Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle manager’s future.
Rafa Benitez has come under immense pressure as Everton manager.
The Toffees fell to an abject 2-1 loss at Norwich City - who were bottom of the Premier League at the start of the game - on Saturday.
The sobering defeat stretched Everton’s woeful run to just one win in 13 league games and there are loud calls from supporters to depart with Benitez as boss.
The Spaniard, formerly manager of Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle United, only took charge last summer but the Goodison Park board have entered talks to discuss his future in the hot seat.
Should the axe be wielded, Everton will require a new manager to ensure they stave off relegation this season.
There will be several names linked to the job should that be the case.
The bookmakers don’t often get things wrong when it comes to these sort of things.
Here are the leading candidates, according to Paddy Power, as things stand.

1. Carlos Corberan - 20/1
The Spaniard has taken West Brom from the foot of the table to the promotion mix after being appointed only in October. However, he may not be prepared to leave the Baggies so soon.

2. David Moyes - 20/1
A win against his former club proved the final nail in the coffin for Lampard. Moyes’ West Ham have been misfiring this season but he says he has the backing of the board. The Scot, of course, spend 11 years as Everton manager and remains highly respected.

3. Thomas Frank - 16/1

4. Nuno Espirito Santo - 16/1
