Where Everton are predicted to finish in Premier League after Frank Lampard’s appointment

Everton find themselves 16th in the Premier League table but there’s fresh buoyancy among fans.

There is a jovial mood around Goodison Park once again.

Evertonians are buoyant after Frank Lampard’s appointment as manager.

Having endured Rafa Benitez’s miserable five-and-a-half month spell, Lampard has breathed a new lease of life into the club.

The Chelsea legend got off to a winning start as Everton defeated Brentford 3-1 in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.

Fans are also encouraged by the recruitment during the January transfer window, with Donny van de Beek and Dele Alli arriving on deadline day from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

Still, Everton are in a difficult position in the Premier League, having dropped to 16th in the table.

Lampard is tasked to ensure the Blues get out of their current predicament starting against Newcastle United.

But will that happen?

Website FiveThirtyEight has predicted how the Premier League table will look at the end of the season.
