Data experts predict where Everton, Liverpool and Manchester United will finish after transfers - gallery

With a record amount of money spent in the Premier League in January, where are the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Manchester United tipped to finish?

The January window was certainly a quiet one for both Everton and Liverpool. With the Reds only making one signing in the form of Cody Gakpo, whilst Everton allowed the window to pass them by, with their only involvement being to sell Anthony Gordon to Newcastle United for £40m.

Both sides are in precarious positions for their standards and neither have satisfied the fans thirst for new additions at the mid-way point of the season. What it makes it worse is the fact that other teams around them have all brought in multiple new players; it’s suddenly become an increasingly worrying time for both sets of fans.

In and around Everton, the likes of Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Leeds and Bournemouth have all spent big, whilst Liverpool have seen Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham all identify areas of weakness by bringing in players to improve their squads.

In Liverpool’s case, they can’t go and spend £106m on Enzo Fernandez as Chelsea did for example, but with their midfield crying out for additions, it’s hard to side with Jurgen Klopp who allowed their January budget to be spent on a forward. Meanwhile, it is beyond mystifying that Everton didn’t replace Gordon or find any additions to help out new manager Sean Dyche. You’d have to say his job looks even more difficult as a result.

With that in mind, here is the latest predicted final Premier League table, from top to bottom, based on the latest bookies’ odds. See below.
