Liverpool have endured a quiet transfer window so far, with Jurgen Klopp continuing his reluctance to dip into the market in January.

The Reds are one of nine teams that are yet to sign a player during winter window. Only two players have left Anfield, with Tony Gallacher and Morgan Boyes joining St Johnstone and Livingston respectively.

However, with Liverpool still in the Premier League title race, there remains time for Klopp to land players to add quality to his side before Monday’s deadline.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the five players Liverpool are tipped to sign this month.

Luis Diaz – 1/20

Porto attacker Luis Diaz has been the subject of rumours throughout the transfer window. The Colombian international has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, but reports yesterday suggest the Reds are in pole position to sign Diaz.

He is said to have already undergone a medical and Liverpool are said to be offering an initial £37 million with bonuses. The winger naturally plays on the left for his Portuguese team and at 25, plenty to offer.

His signature would add competition to Klopp’s attacking itinerary, with Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino all regular starters.

Paulo Dybala – 5/2

Reports from Italy have linked with Liverpool and Inter with a move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala. The Argentina international is said to be being followed "attentively" by the Reds, whose future in Turin continues to look uncertain. After more than five years at Juventus Paulo Dybala time in Turin is coming to an end after contract negotiations hit a snag.

His current deal runs out at the end of the season but the attacker, who is ‘keen’ to join Liverpool, could be available for a cut-price deal in January.

The 28-year-old has been one of the Italian’s side most consistent scorers since moving from Palermo in 2015, scoring 111 times in 277 appearances for the Old Lady.

Dybala is said to be ‘keen’ on a move to Anfield and the signing of Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina could be one of the final nails in the coffin in Dybala’s time in Serie A.

The Brazilian has been a breath of fresh air since his move to Leeds United in 2020. The left-footed winger has scored 14 times in 51 appearances for the Whites and has become Marcelo Bielsa’s most influential player this season.

It’s been widely reported that the Reds have been tracking the progress of Raphinha, but journalist Phil Hay insisted that Leeds were ‘increasingly confident of finalising a new contract’ for the Brazil international.

With the high-intensity style of play implemented at Elland Road, you could assume Raphinha will be comfortable fitting into Klopp’s plan at Anfield.

Declan Rice- 25/1

England international Declan Rice has been sensational for West Ham United and Gareth Southgate’s England.

Rice has the capability to provide the sort of impact Gini Wijnadum had at Liverpool before leaving for PSG last summer. The 23-year-old plays in a midfield two for David Moyes’ side and could be Jordan Henderson’s replacement.

Liverpool won’t be alone in attempting to prize Rice away from West Ham, with Chelsea and Manchester United two names constantly linked with the midfielder. Rice comes across as loyal to the Hammers, but a move away to a bigger club looks likely.

Jarrod Bowen – 16/1

Another West Ham player previously linked with a move to Anfield is winger Jarrod Bowen. The former Hull City man has been in red-hot form this season, scoring nine and assisting 10, to make himself a candidate for the England squad.

Bowen plays on the right, the same as Mohamed Salah, and he improved massively under David Moyes at the London Stadium. With his first taste of European football this season handled pretty well, Bowen has demonstrated his ability at the top level.

With Diaz’s transfer to Merseyside edging closer as the hours go by, the likelihood of Bowen joining Klopp’s men this window seems unlikely, but it certainly doesn’t mean a possible future move won’t come to fruition.
