The Reds left it late, but they found their way past Ajax earlier this week, and they will be delighted to be moving in the right direction after a slow start.

Though, they won’t be able to build on that progress this weekend following the postponement of their clash with Chelsea on Monday.

The international break follows this weekend’s action, but it will be time Liverpool can use to get key men fully fit amid plenty of injury issues early in the season.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Anfield.

Bellingham latest

There doesn’t seem to be any let up in the links between Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

The Reds were linked with the England international throughout the summer, but Dortmund were not going to do a deal in the same summer as they said goodbye to Erling Haaland.

Next summer, there could be an opportunity for Liverpool, and The Telegraph say the Reds are likely to ‘lead’ the chase for Bellingham after this season.

It’s expected the midfielder will cost around £100million.

Saint star linked

Liverpool are also being linked with a move for Southampton star Armel Bella-Kotchap.

According to Fichajes, Bella-Kotchap is already attracting interest from the Reds and Real Madrid despite having only signed for Southampton in the summer

The 20-year-old has impressed in his five Premier League appearances so far after making the move from Bochum.

It’s claimed Liverpool and Real Madrid are already keeping an eye ahead of next summer.

Crucially, the Reds have a recent history of pinching talents from the Saints - see Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Nathaniel Clyne and, er... Ricky Lambert.

It will be interesting to see if Bella-Kotchap continues to catch the eye as the season progresses.
