James Milner addresses his future amid Liverpool contract expiring this summer

James Milner has admitted he want to play football ‘for as long as he can’ as his Liverpool contract edges towards an end.
The veteran midfielder has been an outstanding servant at Anfield.

Hide AdArriving on a free transfer from Manchester City in the summer of 2015, he’s been at the heart of the Reds’ recent success.
Milner’s helped put Liverpool back among the European elite.
He’s made 272 appearances for the Reds, scoring 26 goals, and helped Jurgen Klopp’s side win the Champions League and Premier League.
Now 36, Milner’s deal expires in the summer.
He’s already started his coaching badges for when he retires but wants to continue his playing career for as long as possible.
Milner told Gulf News: “I am taking my football coaching badges, but my only intention at present, is to play football for as long as I can, us footballers are retired from football for a long time.”
