Liverpool have been hit with a fresh injury concern ahead of today’s game against Norwich City at Anfield.

Roberto Firmino has been omitted from the Reds’ squad with a muscle injury and is being assessed.

That’s after he came off the bench to score in the 2-0 Champions League defeat of Inter Milan only three days ago.

It’s a blow for Jurgen Klopp with Diogo Jota currently also sidelined with an ankle problem.

Both are now in doubt for next weekend’s Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

Klopp has made wholesale changes from the victory at the San Siro to face Norwich.

He’s made three switches in defence, with Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Kostas Tsimikas replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson respectively.

The midfield three is also a rip up. Jordan Henderson Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain start in place of Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Harvey Elliott.

And up front, Luis Diaz comes in for the injured Jota to partner Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
