Due to the inevitability over Sadio Mane’s departure to Bayern Munich, Liverpool went out and signed Darwin Nunez on a big-money deal from Benfica.

We also saw Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay signed up as part of a plan for the future, and while more incomings are not expected, you never know what surprises the transfer window will throw up.

And with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours.

Ox latest

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks more and more likely to stick around this summer.

Monday brought fresh reports claiming the midfielder would stay despite earlier reports claiming otherwise.

On Tuesday, there is fresh news again, with BBC Sport claiming Aston Villa will not be making any bid to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain despite being widely expected to do so.

Barella links

The Reds are being lined with a move for Inter Milan star Nico Barella this summer.

Acording to Calciomercato, Liverpool would like to complete a deal for the box-to-box midfielder, but they will not pay the £77million being demanded by Inter.

With that in mind, the Reds are being tipped to offer up Naby Keita as part of a swap deal to land Barella this summer.

Phillips rejected

Liverpool are said to have moved on from Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips.

Phillips was heavily linked with a move to Anfield, but according to The National, the Reds decided against the £60million deal.

It’s claimed Liverpool felt Phillips would be a stop-gap signing, and for that reason, they decided to move on from the deal.

It’s also added that the Reds decided against pursuing Youri Tielemans and Yves Bissouma this summer.
