Kylian Mbappe has been the subject of interest from an unnamed English club amid Liverpool’s continued links to the striker.

The Frenchman is into the final year of his Paris Saint-Germain contract and the Ligue 1 outfit could look to cash in on him rather than risk losing him for free next summer.

The Switzerland international completed his switch to the Lige 1 side for £9.75 million on Monday evening.

As things stand, Klopp feels he does not need reinforcements. Harvey Elliott has made a breakthrough into the first team, having been rewarded with his full Premier League debut in the 2-0 defeat of Burnley last weekend.

The Reds have also earmarked 16-year-old Kaide Gordon to feature in cup competitions.

Andy Robertson played a key role in Ben Woodburn’s loan switch to Hearts.

The 21-year-old, who is the club’s youngest goalscorer from when he netted against Leeds in the League Cup in November 2016 aged 17 years and 45 days, has moved to Tynecastle to garner regular senior minutes.

Woodburn sought advice from Scotland captain Robertson about moving north of the border and he only had good things to say.

“I’m delighted to be here and get the deal done,” Woodburn told Hearts TV.

“It’s been a couple of weeks now that I’ve known Hearts were interested and now I’m here I just can’t wait to get started.

“When I heard about the interest I was buzzing. I spoke to Andy Robertson. He talked about a few of the boys he knows. He said there is a good bunch of lads here and I should enjoy it.”
