A late swoop for Mikkel Damsgaard continues to be weighed up.

The midfielder - who scored for Denmark in their semi-final loss against England at Euro 2020 - featured for Sampdoria in their goalless draw against Sassuolo at the weekend.

That could be his last game for the Serie A outfit, though.
