The transfer window is open for business - but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will make any signings.

Traditionally, the Reds haven’t completed many deals mid-season since Jurgen Klopp took the helm at Anfield in October 2015.

There was the £75 million move for Virgil van Dijk four years ago, of course.

And last campaign amid a defensive crisis, Liverpool brought in Ozan Cabak (loan) and Ben Davies from Schalke and Preston respectively.

Although it might not be a hectic month on the red half of Merseyside, it won’t stop the rumour mill churning out names.

Here’s the latest round-up.

Spanish media outlet Fichajes claims that Liverpool are preparing at £38 million bid this month.

With Mo Salah and Sadio Mane currently away at the African Cup of Nations, coupled with Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino injured and Roberto Firmino isolating after testing positive for Covid-19, the Reds have been left short in attack.

Liverpool have previously been heavily linked with Danjuma, who has scored nine goals in 18 games for the La Liga club this season.

Klopp's now looking to convince Villareal to sell the Holland international just months after he arrived from AFC Bournemouth during the summer.

That's according to El Nacional as the Spanish giants eye another raid on Liverpool after swooping for Luis Suarez and Phillippe Coutinho in recent years.

Keita has struggled to find consistency at Anfield since his £52 million move from RB Leipzig in 2018.

Although he's won the Premier League with the Reds, the Guinea international - who's currently away on AFCON duty - has been hampered with injuries this season.

So far this term, the 26-year-old has made 16 appearances, netting three times.

Keita's contract expires in 2023 and Barca are leading the race for his signature.

Bayern Munich, West Ham, Roma and AC Milan all said to also be in pursuit.

One man who could be swapping the Nou Camp for Anfield is Ousmane Dembele.

Klopp is a known admirer of the France international, having tried to sign him in 2017 before he joined Borussia Dortmund.

Dembele is out of contract at Barca in the summer. Previous reports suggest he's ready to become a free agent and assess his options.

Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany admits that Dembele is still to give a firm answer on his future.

He said: “There’s no meeting scheduled with Ousmane Dembele and his agent. They know our position and our decision.

“We can’t take it too long. We’re waiting for Ousmane Dembele final answer to our proposal.
