Liverpool continue to welcome back their young stars who have been out on loan this season. The club were keen to see a host of youngsters get out and get first-team football this campaign and 19 players are now due to return at some point this month as the season comes to an end.
Those players, who are mostly youngsters, have found varying levels of success while away from Merseyside with Vitezslav Jaros, for example, helping to take Sturm Graz to the brink of the Austrian title, while Fabio Carvalho bagged nine goals in the colours of Hull City. However, others have struggled for game time and return to Liverpool in a difficult spot.
Here’s how those who have been away have fared this season.

Van den Berg has made 34 appearances over the course of what has been a difficult campaign for Mainz. However, after beating Borussia Dortmund 3-0 last weekend, the club are now within touching distance of survival. | Getty Images

7. Fabio Carvalho - Hull City
Carvalho helped take Hull City to the brink of the Championship play-offs before just falling short on the final day of the season. He scored nine goals and bagged two assists in 20 appearances in what was a successful loan stint. | Getty Images

8. Tyler Morton - Hull City
The centre-midfielder spent the full season with Hull City, where he made 39 appearances and scored three goals. His form fluctuated but he remained a key man under Liam Rosenior. “It takes time to get used to it, coming from academy football straight to the Championship,” Morton told the Liverpool website. “It’s like a whole different sport in my opinion. “You’re playing against players who will smash you off the ball, you don’t get that in academy football! But it’s developed my game massively and puts you in a good stead for what you want in the future.” | Getty Images
