Liverpool’s best starting XI and bench after January transfer window closed - with Luis Diaz decision made

Liverpool signed Luis Diaz from Porto for a fee of up to £50 million and he was the only signing Jurgen Klopp made in the January transfer window.

The January transfer window has now shut - and Kopites will be pleased with the business that Liverpool conducted throughout the month.

It had been expected to be a quiet window for the Reds. They usually have been since Jurgen Klopp’s arrival as manager.

And although Liverpool might have only made one signing, it certainly left fans purring.

Excitement couldn’t been hidden when news emerged the Reds ramped up their interest in Luis Diaz.

Having been made aware Tottenham were moving for the Porto winger, Klopp’s side acted quickly to hijack the deal.

Liverpool have stumped up a fee of up to £50 million including add-ons and it represents a real statement of intent.

The Anfield outfit were pursuing a deal for the Fulham midfielder but it fell through at the 11th hour.

Neco Williams did seal a move the other way, though, joining the Championship leaders on loan for the rest of the season.

Now all eyes will be on how Liverpool continue their assault on four fronts.

Klopp will have an idea of who is strongest starting XI will be. Although it’s seldom everyone is available on a match-day, he will certainly have decisions to make if that is ever the case.

Here’s what we think the Reds’ best line-up is after the window closed.
