Liverpool bid to reach the Carabao Cup final tonight when they travel to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The semi-final sits in the balance heading into the second leg.
The Reds were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw at Anfield last week despite Mikel Arteta’s side playing most of the game with 10 men after Granit Xhaka’s red card.
Still, Jurgen Klopp’s men got their confidence back by putting Brentford to the sword 3-0 at the weekend.
Now the Liverpool boss must find the solutions to break down Arsenal as he’ll yet again be without Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
The pair away at the African Cup of Nations.
It’ll be intriguing how Klopp sets his side up as the Reds bid to reach their first domestic final since 2016 when beaten on penalties by Man City in this competition.
Here’s how we think Liverpool’s starting XI will be.
1. Goalkeeper - Alisson Becker
Klopp certainly has a decision to make in goal. Caoimhin Kelleher is the usual keeper for this competition but Alisson may well play given how important the game is. A coin toss.

2. Right-back - Trent Alexander-Arnold
The homegrown product will be desperate to reach a Webley final with his boyhood club.

3. Centre-back - Joel Matip
Was excellent yet again against Brentford like he was in the first leg.

4. Centre-back - Virgil van Dijk
Will provide the bedrock for Liverpool’s attackers to have freedom ahead.
