And Jurgen Klopp has much to ponder when it comes to his starting XI.

The Reds had been out of sorts before the hiatus of the season.

Liverpool lost 3-2 at West Ham in their last game - and they could hardly grumble at the result.

It's paramount the Reds bounce back to winnings ways if they're to maintain a title charge.

Klopp will have to get his tactics and team selection spot on to yield three points against a red-hot Arsenal side that are unbeaten in their past 10 games.

Goalkeeper

Alisson Becker didn't cover himself in glory at West Ham. Despite his protests he was fouled by Angel Ogbonna for the opening goal, they proved futile.

In fact, the breakthrough went down as an own goal.

Still, the Brazilian's one of the best stoppers in the world and axing him after one below-par performance is out of the question.

Defence

Liverpool were lacklustre at the back against the Hammers. Their high line was persistently taken advantage of by David Moyes' men, with Pablo Fornals' goal rounding off a sweeping counter-attack.

In truth, it's difficult to see either Trent Alexander-Arnold or Virgil van Dijk dropped.

But Andy Robertson and Joel Matip are both at risk.

In truth, it's difficult to see him risked given the nature of the setback.

In that case, Kostas Tsimikas will come in to feature at left-back and that'll delight plenty of fans. The Greek's caught the eye when he's been given a go this term.

Therefore, Klopp might be apprehensive about making too many changes to his rearguard and may stick with Matip rather than bring in Ibrahima Konate.

Midfield

The engine room is proving a real problem for Klopp this season.

He's been unable to find a settled trio or have all of his options available at one time.

Naby Keita, James Milner (both hamstring) and Curtis Jones (eye) have been ruled out, while Harvey Elliott continues his comeback from dislocating his ankle.

To make matters worse, Jordan Henderson is yet to train after returning from England duty prematurely with a tight groin. Liverpool might think it's not worth taking a chance of playing the captain.

That would mean Thiago Alcantara coming in for Henderson, with Fabinho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the only other senior options.

Up front

The three spots pick themselves with Roberto Firmino absent with a hamstring setback until next month.

Mo Salah will be out to get back on the goal trail after firing blank in his past two games.

Sadio Mane was Liverpool's best performer at West Ham, while Diogo Jota will play through the middle.
