What awards did Salah win?

Salah wasn't in attendance at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in the French capital.

He was instead in Monte Carlo, Monaco, to collect the Golden Foot award.

The Golden Foot is handed to players who stand out for their athletic achievements and their personality. It is only given to active players of at least 28 years of age and can only be won once.

Salah's wife collected the award on his behalf as he had to leave to return to Liverpool for training in the morning.

He’s the second African-born player to be given the prize after Samuel Eto'o.

The very same evening, ex-Roma winger was named Men’s Player of the Year at the Football Supporters’ Association Award in London . Almost 400,000 votes were cast.

It's the second time Salah won the gong.

Kevin Miles, chief executive of the Football Supporters’ Association, said: “There’s no doubt Mohamed is having another incredible year, the number and quality of his goals have once again lit up English football and contributed to Liverpool’s title push.

“As well as his on-field ability, Mohamed’s character has won support from fans across the game and he was a clear favourite among the voting public.”
