Dean Smith has insisted that his relegation-threatened Norwich City can cause Liverpool problems at Anfield.

The Canaries are in a dogfight at the bottom of the table and were thrashed 4-0 by Premier League leaders Manchester City on Saturday.

Things don't get any easier for the 18-placed Carrow Road outfit, though, when they travel to second-placed Liverpool this weekend.

Smith insists that Norwich's confidence has not taken a hit from their defeat to Man City.

He remains bullish that the Canaries can get a result against Jurgen Klopp's side - but only if they limit their mistakes.

Smith said: “I don’t think there will be any halt in our momentum, confidence or belief because we have produced moments in the (Man City) game.

“But you can’t afford to make as many mistakes as we did, individually and collectively. Our job is to learn from this game.

“Next week, we will go into the game against Liverpool knowing we can go and cause problems against the top teams but we have got to limit our mistakes.”

Liverpool were well below their best but edged a 1-0 victory over Burnley yesterday.

The Reds now turn their head to the Champions League when they meet Inter Milan in the last 16 at the San Siro on Wednesday.
