The Reds chief is also likely to include some youngsters in his set-up against the Championship outfit, giving them the opportunity to impress.
There were five notable omissions from Liverpool's under-23s' 2-2 draw against Blackburn Rovers on Monday night.
They all look likely to be involved against Preston - and two of them could make debuts.

Bradley made his debut at Carrow Road, having arrived on Merseyside in 2019 from Northern Irish club Dungannon Swifts.
He delivered a decent performance against the Canaries in a right-back role, although he did give a penalty away in the first half which was saved by Caoimhin Kelleher.
For the under-23s, Bradley has recorded four assists in six games this season and made three outings in the Uefa Youth League.

The 18-year-old was credited with changing the game, taking up the Fabinho role of providing the anchor in midfield.

This term, he's played six times for the under-23s and recorded one assist in three appearances in the Uefa Youth League.
