Jurgen Klopp has been at Liverpool since 2015 and overseen a complete transformation at Anfield during that time.
His current squad is unrecognisable from the one he inherited. It’s safe to say there has been plenty of change en route to winning the Premier League and Champions League.

Given the success that the Reds have enjoyed under Klopp, a number of players may well regret leaving when they did. Others had no choice.

5. Rhian Brewster - October 2020
Having never made a senior appearance for the club, he departed in 2020 for £23m to Sheffield United, in what was a Michael Edwards masterstroke. He’s struggled for regular goals and netted just four times in 57 games.
6. Danny Ings - July 2019
Striker Ings struggled with injuries during his time at the club and departed in 2019 for Southampton in a deal worth up to £20m. He scored 34 in 67 before Aston Villa came calling. The Midlands club was never really a great fit and he recently moved to West Ham, where he’s netted two in seven games.
7. Mario Balotelli - August 2016
The infamous Balotelli didn’t last long under Klopp. He was allowed to leave on a free at the end of the German’s first season in charge. Since then he’s played for Nice, Marseille, Brescia, Monza, Adana Demirspor and Sion, where he currently plays. But fans may always wonder ‘what if’ with super Mario.
8. Philippe Coutinho - January 2018
Sold to Barcelona for an incredible fee of £142m, the Brazilian struggled to emulate his Liverpool form in the Camp Nou. He went on loan to Bayern Munich, where he scored twice against his own club before winning the Champions League. He then enjoyed a successful loan spell at Aston Villa before permanently moving there in 2022. But fans will be left to wonder, what if he had stayed under Klopp?
