Deadline day is upon us and things could be interesting on Merseyside.

There could be incomings and outgoings at Everton and Liverpool throughout the day.

Certainly, it’s the Blues who look like they’ll be the busier, with a swathe a names linked.

That doesn’t mean that Jurgen Klopp won’t be ready to react, though, should the right deal become available.

How things could pan out for Everton

Rafa Benitez has made three signings so far since taking the Goodison hot seat earlier this summer.

But the Spaniard is expected to strenghten further before tonight will there could be a few departures on the card.

Juventus have announced on Twitter that Moise Kean has rejoined the club from Everton.

The striker has signed on a two-year loan deal, with te obligation to make the transfer permanent should certain targets be hit.

Kean had a disappointing two years at Goodison Park after arriving for £25 million in 2019.

He scored only four goals in 39 appearances and was sent off in his final outing at Huddersfield last week for violent conduct.

Henderson commits his future

The Liverpool captain has penned a new long-term contract at Anfield.

Not a new signing but an important bit of business. He’s tied down until the summer of 2025.

Everton are keen to sign Ainsley Maitland-Niles on loan before the day is over to bolster their right-back options.

After Maitland-Niles’ actions, he’s facing punishment from Arsenal, reports The Telegraph.

If he remaisns at the Emirates beyond tonight, he will be told to train away from the first team.
