Dogs Trust’s Merseyside rescue centre serves Liverpool, Knowsley, Sefton, Wirral and St Helens and has more than 50 dogs in its kennels, who would love the chance to find a permanent place to call home and a loving family.
A variety of dog breeds and ages are available for fostering or adoption, including Labradors, Pomeranians, Spaniels, German Shepherds, Bulldogs and more. There are even a handful of adorable puppies ready to find homes.
Below are 16 of the rescue centre’s newest residents, who would love to find a permanent home in Liverpool or Merseyside. More information about the adoption process is available via the Dogs Trust Merseyside website.

13. Ted - Pomeranian
Ted is a Pomeranian. He's a smashing chap who loves to play with his family and enjoys a fuss. Being brushed isn't Ted's favourite thing, but he tolerates it, and his coat will need regular care to prevent it getting matted. Ted gets along well with other dogs and could live with one of a similar temperament. | Dogs Trust Merseyside

14. Gloria - Bulldog
Gloria is a Bulldog rescue. She can live with other dogs but needs an adult only environment due to her nervous nature. Dogs Trust have no history for her so cannot be sure that she is house trained or used to being left by herself at all. Gloria has some skin issues and is underweight. | Dogs Trust Merseyside

15. Lily - Cocker Spaniel cross
Lily is a Cocker Spaniel cross. She can live with children over the age of 16 and will need to be the only pet as she can be jealous over attention. She is house trained but suffers a little separation anxiety so need someone at home with her constantly. | Cocker Spaniel cross

16. Luna - Belgian Shepherd puppy
Luna is a Belgian Shepherd puppy. She can live with confident children of high school age but will need to be the only pet. Breed experience would be preferred, but an interest in training will be essential. She has been house trained but may need a refresher and she should not be left alone whilst settling in. | Dogs Trust Merseyside
