A Knowsley takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

U Meal, a takeaway at 60 Shaw Lane, Prescot, Knowsley was given the maximum score after assessment on June 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Knowsley's 109 takeaways with ratings, 55 (50%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
